Major research interest in the Schmidt lab is on synthesis and characterization of novel organometallic complexes and their application in catalytic transformations. Following green chemistry principles, many of our catalytic transformations target "atom economic" reactions, which can produce useful products for specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
